Sebastian Aleksandrowicz
Graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. Since 1996, principal oboist of the orchestra at the Grand Theatre – National Opera in Warsaw; from 2007–2014, principal oboist of the Wrocław Philharmonic. He has also served as principal oboist of the Polish Radio Orchestra (2001–2003) and the National Philharmonic (2005–2007). As a soloist and chamber musician, he has collaborated with ensembles including Philharmonie der Nationen Hamburg (as principal oboist and soloist), Morphing Chamber Orchestra Vienna, New Art Ensemble, Tokyo Solisten, Sinfonietta Cracovia, Sinfonia Varsovia, NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, Royal String Quartet, Lutosławski Quartet, and Hilliard Ensemble.
He has performed in Poland, Spain, Germany, Austria, Russia, South Korea, and Japan. Aleksandrowicz is part of the Amadeus Wind Ensemble, which brings together musicians from Poland and the London Symphony Orchestra. He has recorded for Sony Classical, EMI, Pomaton, and DUX. Since 2019, he has been the artistic director of the Warsaw Winds Plus Festival.
